SCREENINGS

As Russia invades Ukraine, video artist Roman Liubyi, a member of Babylon'13, tries to return home to his family from London. His hometown turns into a battlefield, and while his family seeks shelter in cellars, Roman joins a drone reconnaissance unit to locate invaders and survivors. Despite being geographically close, the emotional distance remains vast. Hanna Tykha's powerful film captures Roman's desperate journey home and his struggle to protect his family. Material from the reconnaissance drones and the work of the unit becomes the lens of his and our perception.
