Description
Two films — one archival, one animated — explore who gets to shape a place's story, shifting the lens from official history toward women's experiences and buried memory. A conversation on decolonial perspectives, gender, and ways of shaping Ukraine's past follows the screening, curated by UFFB co-founder Daria Buteiko.
Followed by a conversation with:
Susanne Frank – researcher, Professor of Eastern Slavic Literatures and Cultures, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Tereza Hendl – researcher, philosopher working on issues of global health justice; board member of the RUTA Association.
Polina Piddubna – Ukrainian filmmaker and animator. My Grandmother Is a Skydiver premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
Taras Spivak – Ukrainian director and editor. Under the Sign of the Anchor won Best Short Documentary at Docudays UA.
