2000 Meters to Andriivka

Embedded with a platoon during Ukraine’s counteroffensive, Chernov captures the stark reality of modern trench warfare. Through body-cams, drone footage, and moments of human closeness, the film pulls the viewer into the immediacy of battle. More than a record of combat, it’s a meditation on fear, courage, and survival at the edge of destruction. Chernov, whose 20 Days in Mariupol won Ukraine’s first Oscar, here continues his urgent chronicle of a country at war.
